Multicast from HP-UX server.

 

Multicast from HP-UX server.

All of my HP-UX ( 11i ) servers are Multicasting a packet to address 228.5.6.7 which is a real IP. I need to know why it is happening and how to stop that.

Hi,
can you put an ifconfig of your lan, and the configuration of your netconf ?

Maybe you enable some network services like gated and thery are gathering routing information...

Hi,
values for GATED, RARPD, RDPD are Zero ?

Hi,

I think you are using some Java Client-Server Network Application in your HP-UX server ?

228.5.6.7 is a multicas group address.
