I've been trying to compile nagios (www.nagios.org) to use on my systems.
I loaded ANSI C compiler from HP. but I'm getting some errors that I don't know about on compilation. I've tried to compile the same source code on Red Hat linux and that goes through fine.
system D270 (upgraded to 64bit)
OS 11i
ANSI C compiler B3901BA
Nagios 2.0 (cvs)
Here's what I did: -
go into the source code dir.
./configure
make all
Then I get the odd errors. (file attached with output)
Please don't throw any in-depth C stuff at me, all I can do with C is compile and install, not code!
Any Ideas, of what I can do to get this to compile.
Ta,
Sime.

Re: Nagios compile
./configure --with-gd-lib=/usr/local/lib --with-gd-inc=/usr/local/include
(assuming the gd libraries are under /usr/local - try searching for gd.h and libgd.sl)
Otherwise get gd from www.boutell.com

Solutionyou're going to have some fun with this. I don't know why, but compiling stuff under HP-UX has always been a pain!
I've managed to build Nagios 1.2, and I've attached the notes for you (OpenOffice format - Linux is my main system). The notes may give you enough of a clue as to what you need to do.
I might give 2.0 a go later (though I use an older version to maintain cross-platform compatibility).
Regards
Col.

Re: Nagios compile
Sorry for the delay in responce. Been on bit busy on production stuff. (God damn users!!!!)
Thanks for the help, I'm sure that the document will help me get it compiled. Other wise I'll just bring in a linux server and put it on there!!!!!
