Re: named[1169]

Hi Joe:

Technical Knowledge Base document #KBRC00003908 discusses a resolution of this.

These messages, while annoying, are informational only.

Regards!

Re: named[1169]

Should I be getting these messages even though I have NAMED=0 in /etc/rc.config.d/namesvrs?

I don't see named running on my server.

Thanks!!

Re: named[1169]

hello,

Check whether the named daemon is running or not ? if running, check if any other switches are enabled. Normally these are DNS requests that your server has processed. I am sure that the latest DNS patches will solve the issue.

Re: named[1169]

Thanks to all. My associate shut named down yesterday because we don't need it. Thanks to all.
