Need a recommendation
I am creating a package for a 2nd oracle instance on one of the nodes in a cluster.
Can I use the existing Oracle.sh that comes from the Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit, or should I create a 2nd script for this 2nd instance?
I ask because I've heard that HP doesn't support changes to the Oracle.sh script..

Re: Need a recommendation
Please nix the question, just read the beginning of the script, it let's you know that it executes on one instance only.

Re: Need a recommendation
Hello,
You will need to configure another ORACLE.sh script. The header information in the file says that it only executes one Oracle instance.
Edit another one and name it different or just put it in another directory.
Good luck
Chris

Re: Need a recommendation
Just for information, the MC/ServiceGuard II course has a lab that does exactly this, adding a second instance of an Oracle database in a running cluster.
