Need Help in using fcmsutil.
We have a server connected to SAN , and one of the FC card is having bit errors as reported by Storage team.
I like to know how to make use of
fcmsutil with "echo" option to test the card.
Man page :
fcmsutil /dev/td1 echo -l 1 200 5
What does this 1 mean ?.
Is this echo option will work only in PRIVATE_LOOP ?
FC card is connected to a fabric .
In this case can I use echo option ?
Thanks in advance ,
BL.

Re: Need Help in using fcmsutil.
hi,
1 means loop_id.
but seriously, if u like others to help, please try to reward them with the points deserved, as 0 out of 30 assigned is not good.
regards.

Hi,
If you are receiving bit error threshold exceeded error in your SAN switch then check wheather you have got this patch
Patch PHSS_28509
This is a known problem.
