Did launching cvs with the full path work?

Re: Need Help !!!

Well try chmod 777 /usr/bin/cvs

then try

cvs init

If this does not work maybe you got a bad download.
Try downloading it again
and repeat the install steps.

Re: Need Help !!!

Permissions of 555 are plenty fine. I have downloaded and installed it exactly as I replied earlier and had no problems. I did this on both a 10.20 and 11.00 9000 series system.

Re: Need Help !!!

I installed it on an 11.11 system and it worked fine.

Everything on your end looks good too. That's why I'd sugest downloading again
and repeating the install steps. It only takes a few minutes.

Re: Need Help !!!

What type of machine are you trying to install this on? What specific MODEL of HP9000? If it is NOT a PA-RISC 2.0 CPU then this will not work.

To find this out go into SAM, then go to Performance Monitors and the to System Properties. Now Look at the CPU VERSION. If it does not say something like "2.0 PA8000" (you are specifically looking for the 2.0 on that line) then this will not work.

For example I've got a K200 machine that says "1.1d PA7200" for the CPU Version. On this machine that cvs executable would not work.
