Need Info about Online JFS

Hi ,

on my hp-ux servers there is o online jfs installed. there is any other product like online jfs to do changes without rebooting server?

my os version 11.23
machine models:1.ia64 hp server Integrity Virtual Machine.
2.ia64 hp server rx3600

could please help some one to fix this quiry.

Sure, google them and find out.. All of them require a purchase. Online Veritas for an example. but wait... that is what HP Online JFS is.

If you are running HPUX and want an online filesystem type of software then why not purchase Online JFS ?

Online JFS is used for extending and reducing the size of FS online in HP-UX. This is the only HP product.

The I guess you have HP-UX Base-OE running ? Ever thought of upgrading to Enterprise-OE ? This includes Online-JFS.
Or maybe you can already look at the new HP-UX 11iv3 VirtualServer-OE. This includes Online-JFS and virtualization. Maybe such a bundle that includes all you need is not that expensive compared to buying Online-JFS only ?
