On HP-UX Itanium platform and bash version 3.2.0(1), the

/sbin/init.d/init.cssd[1001]: 21579 Memory fault
Workaround: Use /usr/bin/ksh or bash version 3.0.

Check here what a specific patch is used for:
http://www11.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/mainPage.do?

Search for the patch, check if it is superseeded (PHKL_40208 -> PHKL_40963)

'swlist -l patch|grep ARPA'

Check which patch is applied.
