Greetings!
Currently, in HP-UX 11i v2 (11.23) release, the HP-UX Kernel Configuration tool (kcweb) has the capability to monitor some of the kernel tunables viz.
dbc_max_pct
maxdsiz
maxdsiz_64bit
maxfiles_lim
maxssiz
maxssiz_64bit
maxtsiz
maxtsiz_64bit
maxuprc
max_thread_proc

msgseg
msgtql
nfile
nflocks
ninode
nkthread
nproc
npty
nstrpty
nstrtel

We plan to extend the monitoring for some more kernel parameters/tunables. We are collecting the list of kernel tunables, which can be included for monitoring from a system administrator's point of view.
We would appreciate if you can provide a prioritized list of parameters/tunables that would qualify for being monitored for next release.
Looking forward to your inputs....
Thanks,
Sanjay (for the kcweb team)

Re: Need paramaters/tunables that a sys admin would like to monitor - kcweb team
Does kcweb support the following tunables?
swchunk
maxswapchunks
Also, refer to the following Webpage:
http://osr5doc.ca.caldera.com:1997/PERFORM/kernel_configure.html#tunedisks
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Hemanth
