I need to mount a directory on windows desktop machine for a remote HP-UX share. I can able to do this using CIFS(Samba).
Is it possible to mount using NFS? If YES, will you please let me know how do it?
Thanks,
Ganeshraj.S

Re: Need to mount a directory on windows for remote HP-UX share using NFS
Thanks for your quick reply. I have tried this but unable to use it as expected. If I try to map a drive then my desktop hangs. :(
Thanks,

Re: Need to mount a directory on windows for remote HP-UX share using NFS
hmm that's strange, you could also,
use cygwin ( redhat binaries ) and install the NFS client and try again.

or as you already mentioned using a smb/CIFS.

Re: Need to mount a directory on windows for remote HP-UX share using NFS
Depends which windows we are talking about.
Windows server releases have Unix services and can do NFS shares and mounts.
Windows desktop systems do not have this feature.
