net snmp and solarwinds

Hello, I am trying to get solarwinds network management software to monitor my cpu, memory ,and hard drive stats for my hp9000 rp5405 server running hp ux 11.11 ... solarwinds said I need to install net snmp..I found the depot for it and I installed it.. But it still will not let me monitor those options,, I set up the community name, and the trap destination in the snmpd.conf file... anything else I need to do? I saw something about MIBs in my researching, do I need to set one of these up and what are they??

thanks

Re: net snmp and solarwinds

Shalom,

if solaarwinds wnats to do anything special, they should provide the MIBs. Otherwise there are standard MIBS for HP SNMP which are probably available separately.

Re: net snmp and solarwinds

You've probably found a resolution to this issue; however SolarWinds provides custom MIB in their 8.x product. Best of luck to you.
