net-snmp issue on 11.23

Dear All,

Pl help me on prioty to solve below problem..

i have installed net-snmp on on my hpux 11.23 test2 and tried snmpwalk from another machine test1 to test2.i am getting no response after collecting few details.

i have below process running on my test2 server

/opt/iexpress/net-snmp/sbin/snmpd -c /opt/iexpress/net-snmp/bin/snmpd.conf


pls help me how to solve this ...

Not enough information to provide a solution.

- Is the snmpd on test2 server configured to answer to those OIDs you successfully received, and ignore all others? In that case, change the configuration so that the snmpd will respond to all the necessary requests.

- Did the snmpd process on test2 crash or hang? (Can you get the same results again if you repeat the snmpwalk, or does it stop responding completely?)
If so, are you using the latest version? Update to the latest version if possible.

- Is there a 14th network interface? If so, is it in good state? A hardware or driver problem might make the OS unable to report the necessary information to snmpd, which might cause the snmpd to wait forever for the information. If this is the problem, check the OS patch levels and upgrade if necessary.

Hi ,

i am using latest net-snmp (downloaded from HP -iexpress) . and it is not clear why geting no response after sometime.pls help me on this ..

is it possible to bypass below
IF-MIB::ifNumber.0 = INTEGER: 58

in other servers it is showing
IF-MIB::ifNumber.0 = INTEGER: 5
