The policy servers are on Windows? Or you want the clients on HPUX.

If it is clients, you don't have to do much to also protect the HPUX environments.

If it is the policy servers you are talking about, are you having performance problems with them? We run on a Linux based cluster for our 6.0 policy servers...

Re: Netegrity SiteMinder on HPUX Unix

We run Policy Servers on windows and faces performance issue. I am thinking if we move our policy servers to hpux; we may get advantage of hpux feature such as SMP, multiple network interface card. I guess as TCPIP was born on unix world;socket performance will be better.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Shiv,

Are you looking for any policy server on HP-UX or particular abt Siteminder ? As per Siteminder's data sheet, http://www3.ca.com/Files/DataSheets/etrust_siteminder_data_sheet.pdf
It's supported on HP-UX.

Re: Netegrity SiteMinder on HPUX Unix

I am sorry that we are not running policy servers on HPUX for you then. Now, I don't think you need to have the same OS on all policy servers, you could build one on HPUX and add it in, right?

The thing about HPUX is that you know all the ways to monitor, top to bottom, and if there is a bottleneck there, you will find it.

If you have performance problems now, you need to do something anyway.

Hopefully someone in the morning will have something for you.

Good luck

Re: Netegrity SiteMinder on HPUX Unix

hi shiv,

we r running policy server 5.5sp3 on Solaris for production but on Windows (w2k) for development/testing.

both policy servers are reliable and no real performance issue.

to know your performance issue, u may like to tell us exactly what u r facing.

regards.
