netscape comunicator 4.75
I have installed netscape on my visualize c200 - hpux11. Every time i have to run netscape, i have to give this command: /opt/netscape/netscape. If i write directly netscape i have command not found. What is the path i have to put? and where? i tried to put in .profile /opt/netscape/netscape but it doesn't work. Using csh.
Another thing.
If from that ws i write /opt/netscape/netscape as user (and not as root) i have an error display message. I put in the .cshrc setenv DISPLAY hostname:0.0. But every time i have to log in also as root ad write xhost +. I think there's another method? which?
Thanks

Re: netscape comunicator 4.75
The PATH entry in .profile should be
/opt/netscape
PATH values are directories the shell will refer to when a command is entered, not the actual executables.
Put the xhost + at the end of your .profile.

Re: netscape comunicator 4.75
If you are using the csh, update the PATH statement in the .cshrc and/or .login files in the $HOME for the user.
