Netscape Navigator on

I am trying to install and run Netscape on hp9000/715/100XC running HP-UX 11.00 current patch level. The bundle install, but produces the error:-

xlib: connection to :0.0 refused by server
xlib: Client is not authorised to connect to server
error: Cant open display : :0.0
error: Couldn't find per display information

Any help would be appriciated.

Hi,

try this on your machine

xhost +

This will enable all clients to access the X server.

Just to be sure, did you make a remote login and forgot to set DISPLAY,...?

If that doesn't work try not su'ing to root ! login as root instead ....sounds like a .Xauthority problem (user based access) if the xhost +fdon't fit it .

Thanks thats fixed it I will take a look at the Xauthority file to make a perm fix
