netstat -p ip fragments received

Hi,

Looking at the output of netstat -p ip and I've noticed that we have a high count (non zero) for fragments received. After 4 days uptime.

ip:
47089263 total packets received
0 bad IP headers
1985829 fragments received
0 fragments dropped (dup or out of space)
999 fragments dropped after timeout
0 packets forwarded
0 packets not forwardable

Could anybody given any additional information about fragments received metric.
