Network card
system. Instead after I installed the OS from scratch, it can only recognise lan2. Is there anything I am doing wrong with the install or is there anything I can do to configure this network card to be seen by the system ?

Re: Network card
What model of network card is lan1? Does it show up as "CLAIMED" or "NO_HW" in ioscan? Your network card might have software on the application CD that you need to load for it to work.

Re: Network card
I think you need to install "btlan1" driver for your K class machine. If your card is HP-PB 100 MBPS, it will need this driver. You can install the driver from your HP-UX 1st application CD. look for HP-PB 100MBPS card and install using swinstall. It will work then.
Thanks,

Re: Network card
Any LAN card drivers you need should be on Applications CD #1.
Without knowing the specific LAN card you have, we can't tell you exactly which drivers to load.

Re: Network card
Try this. Put your 1st application CD in the CD-ROM drive. Login as root and go into swinstall. Find the CD-ROM drive, and install the J2759BA package. See if that makes your LAN card happy.
