Shalom,

I don't think your cluster is running any more. What should have happened if configured correctly is one node should have booted, TOC,and the second should have remained running by itself, running all configured packages.

Re: Network Fail

The switch is the "network switch" the lan0 in switch 1 (primary) and lan1 switch 2 (stand by), but for electric fail, two switch off, What happen with package and cluster.

Re: Network Fail

If all heartbeat lans fail, then one node in a two node cluster would TOC. The remaining node would stay up and running. Depending on how the package was configured (script parameters, services monitored?), it could also go down and fail to start.

Re: Network Fail

If the heartbeat is there, neither node would TOC if both your "switch active" and "switch standby" fails at the same time. Your packages could still go down... all depends on how they've been setup.

This might help

Re: Network Fail

...and I guess it would still be possible to have a node TOC. once again it all depends on how the package was configured.

Hope this helps,

Re: Network Fail

Hi,

Nothing will happen as heartbeat is monitoring that the server and packages are running fine. However if you have configured your package in a way that in event of network failure it should try to switch over to another node than the package will switch over to another node.

Punch line is it depends on how you have configured your cluster.

Hope this may clear your doubts.
