Network Interface bonding?

Is there a way in HP-UX to bond network interfaces together? Similar to what bonding is in Linux.

Re: Network Interface bonding?

Don,

HP-UX 11.0+ supports "Auto Port Aggregration" which will bind two network interfaces into one. Make sure that your particular interface is supported and that you are running HP-UX 11.0 with extension pack 9808 or better installed. The only catch is this is an addon to HP-UX and it runs roughly $1100.00 I think, take a look at all the details:

Hope that helps.

Re: Network Interface bonding?

Hi Don,

Try this link from hp docs site,

http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/J4240-90012/J4240-90012.html

Look at the APA features,

Hope this helps.

Re: Network Interface bonding?

Thanks Damn you're fast. Sucks that it cost so much. I think I can get a gigabit interface for less.

Thanks again.
