Network printer act like Xmas tree lights
Issue: Our printer queues are managed from a Novell print server. We configured
the printers on our HP9000 model K250 as network printers, the spool files are
local to the HP and sent to Novell queue for printing. If any of the printers
run out of paper or has a paper jam, all printers will stop printing. We can?t
even get into SAM to review what is happening. Once the printer in error is
attended to all other printers will resume printing.
Can anyone recommend a solution to our printing issue?

Re: Network printer act like Xmas tree lights
Are you setting them up as network printers or as remote printers? It sounds
like the problem is on the Novell side. When the HP then tries to get a status
of the queues from the Novell server, it hangs waiting for a response.
