Re: Network Printer Problem - HPUX
No, JetDirect LAN card firmware is always separate. You can telnet to the LAN card (or with recent versions of the JetDirect cards, point a web browser at the IP address of the card) and get the firmware revision. Then check with the JetDirect support pages for updates to the firmware.

Re: Network Printer Problem - HPUX
I located the following information on the hp website regarding this exact issue:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=bpj05820&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=25474&locale=en_US
I have done everything listed on this except upgrading the printer firmware - which apparently is different than the jetdirect lancard firmware.
How do I upgrade the printer firmware?

Re: Network Printer Problem - HPUX
It is very dependent on the printer model. Here's a link that should help:

Re: Network Printer Problem - HPUX
Okay, the problem is resolved (for now anyway). I deleted the network printer and recreated it as a remote printer. This is only a workaround, but it fixed it.
Bill, thank you for the help.
