Re: Network routeing problem
without knowing more about your setup, I would guess:

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=203315
Did you do your network setup when you installed the OS ?
Can you see localhost ?
Can you see your gateway ?
Can you ping the DNS server ?

Re: Network routeing problem
Check first that you have configure IP properly with subnet etc.
For add a route from SAM you need to follow this,
SAM>Networking and Communications>Routes>Actions>Add Default Route.

Re: Network routeing problem
You probably need to consult with your networking department.
Reasons:
1) You may have incorrect information in /etc/rc.config.d/netconf that is making the route command invalid.
2) Network configuration may prevent this route.
3) HP-UX 11.00 which is out of support by default requires ping to work for networking to work properly. This can be changed with an ndd command but if ping is blocked all network functioning will be compromised.
