networking issue

i get this message on my netlog. What does this mean?
*******************************
5321 0 tcp_wput, T_ORDREL_REQ out of state
[0,0] TCP_IDLE
*******************************

I have already installed some patches (LAN cummulative, etc)
any suggestions what else I should do?
Thanks

Re: networking issue

Already checked if you have the latest ARPA cummulative patch (PHNE_24715) and dependencies?

Re: networking issue

You said you had the latest patches, so no I guess I don't. As that should have been fixed in April's ARPA patches. Sorry.

Re: networking issue

for those interested in arcane trivia, the translation of the message basically means that some bit of software sent a request for an "orderly release" (FIN, not RST - no abortive close) of a TCP endpoint that was actually in the IDLE (ie not connected) state. more or less the routine tcp_wput is to the STREAMS-based stack in 11.X as tcp_output is to a BSD-base stack.
