New Dat 72 tape drive installed on rp54xx

Installed new DAT 72 tape drive which is daisy chained to a DAT 40 in a 5300 tape array on the rp54xx. Testing new Dat 72 drive , unable to read or write to the new device. When using fbackup in SAM it comes back and specifies "no device file " or "unkown Device". tar command starts to work but sits there and hangs.

Did you pick the right drivers for the Kernel?

You must check:
1. syslog and dmesg.
2. ioscan -fnC tape. If your tape state is claimed and the device already created? run insf -e to create the devices.
3. please check scsi ID and terminator for your device.

Ran INSF but not with the "E" option. Found the new tape drive.
