new kernel v2/v3

When I set the status of a static module
to unused with kcweb, a new vmunix is generated. It's size differs from the previous
vmunix. Am I correct that this is a newly compiled binary, and if so, is there sourcecode
present on my system? Or how is it compiled?

Kind regards,
peter

Peter,

No there is no HP-UX source code on your system - only object files and a few headers... in reality the kernel is pretty much re-linked rather than re-compiled.

If you're interested in where all this stuff is, you will find most of it in /usr/conf

Actually these are modules and they contain multiple objects.
