Re: New password change is not affecting for old password
if you are entering password longer than 8 characters it's possible. Hp-Ux just takes first 8 character so
abcdefgh
abcdefghi
are the same.

Re: New password change is not affecting for old password
A few questions.
-1- what OS version are you using?
-2- is this trusted system or are you using shadow paswords?
-3- Could is be that your old and new passwords are almost the same, hpux will only use the first 8 characters of the password?
example
12hpux34
12hpux34!!
In above password example you able to use borh passwords.
Regards,
Robert-Jan
