Yes, I did cobol (lower case for a reason) for about 5 years (yuk). I???ve also written apps in Algol, Assember, PL/1, C, C++, Lisp, Basic (PICK version ??? that???s a version of basic), Fortran IV and 77, perl, and Java. But be assured, I???ll never write a damn thing in c#. My first large system that I was responsible for was a Pr1me computer (much like unix, but different). My first true unix box was an IBM RS6000 with the first version of AIX. I???ve dabbled in the NCR (Motorola version) world for a few years, then I jumped into DEC???s Ultrix and OSF for four years. I???ve always have been a system junkie (like a crack addict), so I???ve migrated away from application programming into the real world! I get to do R&D stuff today, and I???m having a BLAST! My toys include a 6way N-class w/12gb ram, two fc10???s, an A-class, and a va7400. Hopefully I???ll be able to hold on to them for a while.
