We just took delivery of a new box that we just powered up for the first time. We do not have it on the Network yet, but we are on the console in Run Level 3 and we're getting the following message when logged in:
INIT: Command is respawning too rapidly.
Will try again in 5 minutes.
Check for possible errors.
id:samd "/usr/sam/lbin/samd # system mgmt daemon"
Can someone maybe tell me how to stop getting this message repeatedly and also maybe what it means?
Thanks in advance...

Re: New RP5410 with samd messages
Its obviously an error in the /etc/inittab file. Elena's link will probably help if you don't want to do the OS over.

Re: New RP5410 with samd messages
You could boot to single user mode - then disable it....or just setup networking....

You may also check your network settings.
