Hi,

How to check if an NFS mount is largefiles enabled.?

we need to check from the NFS - server only

fstyp -v /dev/vg00/lvol3 |grep -i f_flag


nfs version 3 is supposed to allow files up to 128 GB.

As jhonson mentioned above you check it by the command fstyp in NFS Server.

If output is "f_flag: 0" means that No largefiles enabled if "f_flag: 16" means largefiles enabled.

If largefiles is not enabled you can enable it by the Following command.

fsadm -F vxfs -o largefiles /dev/vg02/lvol1

and umount and mount the FS and NFS.

Shalom,

NFS doesn't care about large files.

Check the underlying file system on the NFS server.

fsadm utility can convert the file system if its not formatted that way.
