NFS and MCSG

I have two servers in a MC/ServiceGuard cluster which use one package which mounts a shared file system. I want to make a file on the shared disk available to both servers and tried nfs automount. If the secondary server boots before the primary, the nfs mounts fail, giving permission errors to the shared file. What are the issues in using NFS to make a package file available to a secondary node with MCSG. I don't have NFS toolkit.

the one way to tackle this problem is use auto mount. By doing this, if the pther server is down during the startup, it won't give you error. The directory will be mounted only when you try to access this file. Make sure the Primary server is UP by the time you try to access the file.

Hi:

I'm not sure you can achieve this with MC/ServiceGuard. The concept is that a volume group is activated for only one node in the cluster.

There is NFS Lock Manager that fuctions as a part of MC/SG. Although not an initial part of the SG package.
