NFS disk mount...
There are 2 qts that i req some assistance.
1) Can I mount entire disk from unix machine after creating a file system and then nfs mount on to Windows 2000 server.
2) How can i mount only a individual directories of users ie under /users so that they can use it.
I configured it but i'm not able to c the share name, nor i am able to connect it, does it require any plain text password.
If possible can someone jot down the step for the same it will be helpful.
Suggestion Welcomed.
Cheers & Regards,
Dayanand Naik.

Re: NFS disk mount...
I'll answer you second question first.
To do this particular item you really
need to set up a product called 'samba'
If you have HPUX 11 you can install
these filesets. If not you'll have to
download it.
CIFS-Client A.01.06 HP CIFS/9000 Client
CIFS-Server A.01.07 CIFS/9000 (Samba) File and Print Services
To your first question 'samba' could look
after this as well. Have a look here:
http://www.samba.org/

Re: NFS disk mount...
3 assignments of points from 90 responses is not a good record.
To find you old postings you can use the method from this post:

Re: NFS disk mount...
Thanks for your response, most of the replies what i get is already been tried and tested by be, then only put it on the forums. but still i do give points.... if u c most of my postings don't have any reply either... so u just can't judge the book from its cover....
I will keep in mind for the points to be assigned.. and again thanks for the search site that will be informative for me... and all the other people who might have any problems.
Thanks
Dayanand Naik
