What is the difference between NFS PV2 and NFS PV3 ?

Hi
Whilst V3 will connect to a V2 it will be very slow.
If using NFS download and install the latest version to all machines.

Hi:
PV3 (protocol version) allows access to larger files than with NFS PV2.
By default, 'rpc.mountd' will use use PV3 to mount a file system. If the NFS server doesn't support this, 'rpc.mountd' will use PV2.
See 'man 1M mountd' for more details.
