NFS server not responding......

Hi,

I'm trying to startup my HP9000-D370 server.

During the startup process, I get the following error message:

NFS server (pid680@/net) not responding still trying......[wait/busy]

It just continues trying this process forever without proceeding further.

What exactly is the problem and how can I resolve it?

Any help appreciated!

Re: NFS server not responding......

look at your /etc/fstab when you get booted and make sure all the servers are okay.

Other than that try arp -d from the
NFS server, then ping just in case there was some temporary network card problem.

Re: NFS server not responding......

Hi, To disable automount just edit file
/etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf

and change value of AUTOMOUNT from 1 to 0

Re: NFS server not responding......

Thanks guys!

I managed to turn off automount. Any consequence for leaving it so?

BTW, how can I assign u guys points. The option shows as unassigned but there is no way I can give the deserved points!!
