nfs_server weak authentication
vmunix: NOTICE: nfs_server: weak authentication
Does anybody no where it comes from ?
I'm running hp-ux 11.00 , NFS server and samba.

This error is because of some NFS clients do not send NFS requests through Priveleged ports.
But the most of the NFS server Implementations ( mainly Sun NFS ) will not allow the above type of clients. It will report the error as you got.
Are you using anu linux NFS clients or BSD clients ?

It's got good security and is designed to share disk and printer resources with Unix and Windows clients.
NFS is fine, and I have to use it for Ignite for for Moving objects on and off the box and such things, CIFS is in my far from humble opinion better.
It is also free.
