Hi
I'm in the process og updating some 10.20 servers that are interconneted with NFS, but some of them are running NFS V2, which I need to update to NFS V3. These servers are in 24h operation and should not be restarted nor should they loose their NFS mounts.
Can I update to NFS V3 without loosing the NFS mount - on the fly? How?
Cheers,
Jimmy O. Simonsen

Solution
The simple answer is NO. The NFS daemons will need to be restarted, therefore it will lose the mounts. In some cases, upgrading NFS might require a reboot, especially if there are kernel changes.
