nfsstat times report 0ms

We have changed the NFS protocol from udp to tcp. While this has increased performance the nfsstat -m reports the srtt times as 0ms. The srtt had shown actual times when the upd protocol was being used on these 11.0 HPUX systems. Any ideas as to why the srtt is now reported as 0?

Thanks,

Mark.

No clue but maybe a patch addresses this issue. Have you keep current with patches?

Re: nfsstat times report 0ms

Hi Mark,

I'd hazard the guesses that:

1) srtt may be a udp only stat
2) The command will not show sub-ms values & the actual values are sub-ms.

The rule of thumb with these type problems is - What changed? In your case NFS from UDP to TCP, so it probably has to do with that issue.

Jeff
