NIC failover - how?

I come from a solaris background and have used IP Multipathing on my database servers to allow for automatic failover in the event of NIC/Cable/switch failure. How do I do the same thing under HP-UX 11.23? Web searches have found mentions of Service Guard and Auto Port Aggregation. I was hoping/expecting something free, but I could get management to (grudgingly) pay for this as well. Just a pointer to the appropriate product/documentation would help.

Service Guard is going to be very expensive. I think APA is what you need. Take a look here:
