nis & hp
hi,
i've a little pbm with my nis client on my hpux 11.00
my nis server is a redhat 7.x
ypwhich and ypcat is good because i can see my password map and group map on my hp
but i can't do : su login_name_from_nis
-> su : sorry
where is the problem ? is it in my pam configuration ?

Hi,
Does the id command work for the user?
If not you can check /etc/passwd and /etc/group for the +....
ypset nisservername
check the nis processes running

Did you try to shutdown(or restart) the passwd/group lookup daemon, pwgrd on the HP box.
