Nis+ client test
I would like to test a nis+ client on an hpux-11i.
I've created my root master and right now would like to create a client to check credentials.
I've found many informations concerning the creation of my nis+ client, but someone have some information to remove the client ?

Re: Nis+ client test
Hello Jean-Christophe,
When you say "remove the client" are you just looking for the easiest way to have the client reboot without staring NIS+, and thereby not participating in an NIS+ domain or attempting to retrieve any data from the NIS+ namespace?
If so, I think the easiest way would be to modify the /etc/rc.config.d/namesvrs file and set NISPLUS_CLIENT to 0. You should then modify your /etc/nsswitch.conf file and remove any reference to "nisplus" from the various entries in this file. I believe once these steps are taken and the system is rebooted it will no longer start NIS+ or attempt to reference the NIS+ namespace.
Is this what you had in mind or have I misunderstood your question?
Regards,
Dave
