Hi ,
What does the error mean "Building netgroups DBM files failed (using sendmail to build DBM maps) "

Please help.

Hi,

Do you receive any errors or warnings when you attempt to build the netgroups map manually via:

# touch /etc/netgroup
# cd /var/yp
# ypmake
or
# make

Please post any output you receive from the manual build attempt so that I can see the errors, if there are any.

How many entries does your /etc/netgroup file contain? I wonder if you might be exceeding the limitations of dbm...
