NIS Home directory is not mounting

Hi All,
Good day, I am facing a problem in NIS. I have created a user, in some set of NIS client the home directory is monthing in some set its not mounting, its direcotry goes to "/"... no error shown on screen.

Env : HP-UX 11

Have any idea.. pls help me.

Hi Bala,

Are you using auto mounting for home directories for this?
If not, then check whether the home dir settings are proper in NISDIR/passwd.
If u r using the auto mounter, then see
1. Directory structure is correct.
2. automounter daemon is running properly in the home dir server...

Hey
Forgot one more thing, Check for the directory permissions. It should have uid:gid of the proper owner. Else it will fail.
If you have enabled quota, then check if teh quota is getting exceeded.
