NIS problems

On my NIS master Server, I Build/Push Maps with Sam and I have this nessage :

This is normal if you do not have those maps. the default make will try to push everything, if your aren't using all the maps, you will get an error when it tries to push it

hey,

Check for ur maps in the directory /var/yp/domain_name. This directory should contain all NIS maps.

Check the contents of /var/yp/Makefile too.

Run "ypwhich -m" from the command line to see if your maps have been built and that they exist.

Did you use the full NIS map names when you use yppush? Just my thought.

Most probable it will be path name in your make file.

Make will try to build map say passwd.byuser but you do not have /etc/passwd file or your make file is pointing to somewhere else.
