NMAP fails to scan udp localhost
Hi all,
I am tryig to run nmap on parisc hp-ux 11.11. I met following problem:
# ./nmap -P0 -sU localhost
pcap_open_live: stat: /dev/lo0: No such file or directory
I already made the several attempts with ver.2.53, 3.50 and 3.70, but I saw same behavior for all.
Same for precompiled binary from porting centre and for local builds (hp ansic). On the same time, udp scan pointed to another machine works ok, as well as tcp scans. I already tried to make new lan0 following the instructions from another thread, but no change. Have you some advice?
Regards. Jan

Re: NMAP fails to scan udp localhost
Yes, method from Alex Nicholson was the "another thread" I mentioned above. It does not help in my case. (Of course I did search on itrc before asking ;-). Anyway, thanks for response. Jan.
