If I have Openview NNM 5.xx running, would I have the same security monitoring as with the security software, or does NNM just monitor network activity...

Re: NNM and security software
FYI, HP's Intrusion Detection System (IDS/9000) v2.0 is now integrated with OpenView to peform security monitoring.
IDS/9000 is a free download.
See http://managementsoftware.hp.com/products/smartplugins/spis/Documents/Product_HTML-468.asp
for information on the OpenView smart plugin for IDS/9000.
See
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/J5083-90007/J5083-90007.html
for the on-line IDS/9000 user's manual.
See http://www.software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/displayProductInfo.pl?productNumber=J5083AA
for a product overview of IDS/9000 and to download IDS/9000 at no cost.
