Re: No buffer space available: accept: (client socket)

Hi

This is happening:

Client initiates a server connection but the
Server is busy and , the request goes to the accept queue
Client times out at about the same time that the Server starts to respond to the request
Server tries to accept , but the client has already sent a CONNRESET signal, the server connection buffers are freed.
Server sees that there's no connection buffer, it gets back ENOBUFS from the TCP stack, and complains..

This is a problem in the Apache handling of the ENOBUFS . The problem
can be reduced by raising the value of:

tcp_conn_request_max

use Apache 2.0. This issue has been resolved )

Re: No buffer space available: accept: (client socket)

hi,
Can you access the loopback interface of your
server ?.
#ping 127.0.0.1
otherwise your kernel tables will be full with
TCP connections and this error may come.
Also please attach the output of netstat -rn

Re: No buffer space available: accept: (client socket)

hi,
please try this also and paste the output.
#ping localhost
if possible stop all the apppication related to
networking like X-windows etc.
buffer space refers TCP buffers only. Increasing the memory will also help to a great extent. What is your free memory in the
system ?.what is the hardware details ?.
