No print with printer language PCL but with PS
I want to print to a HP business inkjet 2200 but it is not printing with the command ll|lp -d'printer'.
No problem to do this with an other printer (who knows PS).
Is it generally not possible to print at a printer only with PCL or what must I do?
Workflow with SAM is prefered
Regards
Volkmar

Please tell me the output of:
lpstat -t
to see what is happening with that printer.

If this is a network connection. How did you do it .
This is not normally a unix printer.
I hope you used net_genericprinter as model

Re: No print with printer language PCL but with PS
lpstat -t only says 'ready and waiting'.
At the HP we have a network print server AXIS 540+ and a TCP/IP connection.
I configured with SAM and the Jetadmin utility and added the printer as a network based printer.
I configured it as a Deskjet printer, but it isn't printing anything. I directed the prints to a Kyocera (with PS) and everything went good (with the same configurations).
Then I heard the HP only can PCL, so how can I configure it?
Is this the best solution?

Search didn't work last week and I would like to do it with SAM.
Any tips?

Printer monitor shows 'Awaiting connection'.
Print job is in printer queue but nothing happens.
