No response from keyboard

Hi I have just installed and configured a secure web console for my Lclass server. It all went like a dream and I was able to acess it through its new IP address. However when I bring up the console screen and see the prompt, I am unable to type anything. Its as if there is nothing coming from my keyboard????
I have done some looking up but can't find any help on this issue. Any ideas???

you can try the following:

1) Add stty cread to root's .profile file.
2) reboot the system

Hi Steffi, I tried that and no luck, I can login and move around but I can't type anything at the console? Is there a certain place in the .profile for the line "stty cread"??? Any ideas please.....
