no Xsim input for gb18030, 11i
We can't input fron 'xsim' with locale gb18030.
We can input from xsim with other locales.
The system was setup last year, gb18030 is working fine otherwise.
I found a notes for the recent GOLDQPK11i showing the following patches were needed for this exact issue, but they have not helped.
> PHSS_27160 Asian Input Method cumulative patch
> If GB18030 character input with xsim is desired, you
> should install the following patches, or any patch that
> supersedes it;
> PHCO_25452 - libc cumulative patch
> PHCO_26453 - locale: (HKSCS,GB18030,UTF8 Greek Euro)
> PHCO_26454 - eucset: (GB18030)
> PHCO_26456 - iconv: (JVC,HKSCS,GB18030,UTF8 Greek Euro)
> PHNE_25083 - Streams Pty cumulative patch
> PHSS_25201 - XClients OCT2001 Periodic Patch
> PHSS_25784 - Asian X11 Font cumulative patch
> PHSS_25788 - CDE Base DEC2001 Periodic Patch
> PHSS_25789 - CDE Applications DEC2001 Periodic Patch
> PHSS_25881 - X/Motif Runtime JAN2002 Periodic Patch
> [NOTE]
> Patches that supersede patches referenced in this section
> may be substituted as appropriate..
In all cases where there were newer patches I chose the HP recommended patches, that did not help. In 4 of them there was the above, a newer recommended, and a newest. I then installed the newest for those 4, still no help.
What I have regarding this is now: -
27160 -
29495 (previously 29029, substituted 25452) -
26453 -
26454 -
29903 (previously 28134, substituted 26456) -
25083 -
28691 (substituted 25201) -
25784 -
30011 ( req'd for 25789, substituted 25788) -
29740 (previously 27873, substituted 25789) -
29371 (previously 28875, substituted 25881) -
Any ideas are appreciated, thanks in advance.
