Nodes Toc when i create package for CFS in integration of Serviceguard with Oracle10G

Hi all
I am installing HP Serviceguard Cluster File System for Oracle RAC in two nodes HPUX.
The installation went well(Serviceguard cluster was up) until creating CFS package part, the command is "cfscluster config -t 900 -s" but it failed.

The 2 nodes toc together

The servers are RX3600 on 11.23 FOE whith QPK of June 2007.

I would much appreciate if anyone could give me any ideas of what went wrong. Thanks in advance

Re: Nodes Toc when i create package for CFS in integration of Serviceguard with Oracle10G

I recommend that you patch the servers according to the recommendations on this website:
Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Patches
located here:
http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/cache/286850-0-0-0-121.html

CFS-related code need these patches.
Patch versions are available for both conservative and "bleeding-edge" patch strategies.

Re: Nodes Toc when i create package for CFS in integration of Serviceguard with Oracle10G

Thanks for your reply

I have already install this bundle of patchs.
And i have installed the bundle of patchs for Service Guard A.11.17.

I think, my last chance is to install the QPK of June 2007.

Yes, i do a mistake on the first message, my servers are installed with the QPK of Mars 2007 and not with the QPK of June 2007.

You think it's a good idea or not ?
Thanks.

Re: Nodes Toc when i create package for CFS in integration of Serviceguard with Oracle10G

It's important i think to say, when i download the Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Patches, i select the most recent
(hp rating).
Maybe, it's not good .....

Re: Nodes Toc when i create package for CFS in integration of Serviceguard with Oracle10G

Applying the most recent patches has the higher likelihood of solving newly discovered problems of course.

The first error that I see in the log that you provided is:

May 31 12:08:31 CXORAC04 syslog: VXFEND: open(): Unable to open I18N message catalog /opt/VRTSvcs/vxfen/ (error code: 9)

I located this error in our database.

Do the following and let us know if the LANG parameter is set:
# set | grep LANG.

Check /etc/rc.config.d/LANG for it's setting.
Set LANG=C if necessary.

Or try setting:
# export VCSI18N_LANG=en

Then
# inetd -k
# /sbin/init.d/inetd start

# cmruncl

vxfen expects to use an english message catalog.

A Change Request number was issued for this problem - JAGaf97359
The problem is unique to the T2777 (SMS for SGeRAC) product as far as I can tell.

Re: Nodes Toc when i create package for CFS in integration of Serviceguard with Oracle10G

Thanks for your reply
When i execute
# set | grep LANG
The parameter is not set

When i look in /etc/rc.config.d/LANG the variable LANG is set to
export LANG=fr_FR.iso88591

If i inderstand what you said, you want i modify the file /etc/rc.config.d/LANG
to insert two lines :
export VCSI18N_LANG=en
export LANG=C

Is that ?
