non-LVM HP-UX 10.20 installation

I have one HP-UX server, on which we use one SCSI HDD. now I want a HDD backup, this new HDD has already UNIX installed, but I want install this new HDD as non-LVM system, everytime I was prompted to select "standard LVM system" or "advanced ....", only these two selection, after that when I want change this disk usage to non-LVM system, it alwayse told me that because you have only one HDD and there is already UNIX filesystem on it , so you cann,t change it from LVM to Non-LVM. Please tell me how I can instal this new HDD as Non-LVM disk?

Beat regards!

As I understand it. You already have one disk in your system, and you are now adding another disk to the system, giving you 2 disk drives?

Re: non-LVM HP-UX 10.20 installation

Here is the Installing / Updating HP-UX 10.20 manual.

http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90173/B2355-90173.html

Go to the Installing HP-UX section and you should see how to select a non-LVM root disk, although even with only one disk I don't know why you wouldn't want it to be LVM.
